Swabs: Mares to arrive with a Veterinary Certificate for the current year, stating that the mare is free from infection and fit for breeding. If there is no certificate this will result in a minimum 10 day delay in the covering of your mare whilst the swabs are taken and results obtained.

Pregnancy Diagnosis: Mares left at stud after covering will be scanned to confirm pregnancy. Please make it clear when leaving your mare, if you do not wish this to be done.

Refusal of Service: The stud reserves the right to refuse to cover any mare, which is deemed unsuitable by the stud vet or is dangerous/excessively aggressive towards the stallion. Under such circumstances, no stud fee will be charged.

Veterinary Attendance: All fees will be charged to the owner. The Stud Vets offer discounts for fees paid for at the time of the visit. (Please ask for details).

Shoes: Hind shoes to be removed whenever possible prior to arrival at stud. If this is not done it could cause delay in having your mare covered. Routine trimming will be done when deemed necessary and charged accordingly.

NFFR: If the mare is found not to be in foal on the 1st October following the end of the covering season, a free return will be granted to the same mare for the following year.

Payment: Accounts to be paid in full before removing the mare from the stud.
